So I moved out of Whistler last week after living there for 2.5 years. It's only been a week, but I miss Whistler! I miss:

  • The crooked shelves at IGA
  • Living rooms filled with boards, skiis, and bikes
  • People always looking for good social times
  • Sonny at Quinzo's who always knew what I ordered, and would say "the usual?" when I'd walk in
  • Bouncers wearing carbon-knuckled bike gloves
  • Big Bikes lined up outside bars, shops, restaurants
  • Nesters market, and how Nesters Rd drives right through the parking lot
  • Stacks of smelly garbage in closets and sheds since there's no garbage collection
  • Infinite number of bike trails
  • big trees

Since it's now winter season, and the Park won't be open for awhile, feel free to post what you miss too. It'll get me stoked to move back in May!

splitz

Eye on the TV
'cause tragedy thrills me
Whatever flavor
It happens to be like:
"Killed by the husband"
"Drowned by the ocean"
"Shot by his own son"
"She used the poison in his tea
and kissed him goodbye"
That's my kind of story
It's no fun til someone dies

I just moved to the city after 3.5 years there all I can say, wow the city sucks more then ever. Moving back to whistler is not a thing that can happen right now, but revelstoke and the mt there seem to me calling my name. So good bye city I hope to be out of hear soon. It has only been 2 weeks.

Yup no one seems to like to stay here, "a better life in the city" they say, sure, right, keep telling yourselves that….money ain't everything….
