Strong El Nino…. mild dry winter for the west coast!
I am hoping that they are wrong! I just bought a pass for seymore.
Cheers!
Dan
I think it really depends on the streagth of the El Nino if it is strong you can write off the ski year here. If I recall though it usually means great skiing in Nevada/Cali.
farmers almanac said slightly colder than usual and a bit wet
environment canada said slightly warmer and dry
go figure
Even Farmers dont use the farmers almanac.
but really this is supposed to be a mild el nino. Im not sure exactly what that does. last time we had one like that was 02/03 season.
i hope we have an insanely mild and dry winter
, however, notice the black guys pants don't leave much to the imajination.

yea because it benefits you and fucks the planet?
Actuly Jaysin El-Nino is a natural weather cycle.
Personaly this time of year always stoked for snow but if I get stuck riding bikes all winter Its really not that big of a deal.

weather men and accurate weather prediction don't mix in general I think. but at least they're both agreed that it's going to be pretty average - not crazy hot or cold
ok thanx for all guys… but… do i have to come for snowboarding and teaching (and just a bit of biking) or should i go straight to NZ for biking, building and guiding? …

You can never really tell what the weather is going to do. Last year was a mixed bag too, started out good, then there was a lull then it got good again etc. etc.
If you have the chance to go to NZ and ride, guide and build… do it. The snow will be here next year. And the year after.
Jon-boy.
Everytime we had a dry, hot summer a killer winter followed. Tons of pow! I can't wait. Cervo, see you in Whistler. Ride the Shore and Squamish, and shred W/B. Doesn't get any better.

gonna have to decide, before i get crazy here doing nothing but wasting time at the beach and complainning about the bad shape and the poor maintenance done on "my" single tracks…
