Hey everyone, our good friend Duncan Mackenzie had been working covertly on a trail in the Function area over the past few years. As many know he tragically was killed in an avalanche this winter. A large group of us will be getting in there in the next month and a bit to finish off his vision. A group of experienced builders from Whistler, and also a large contingent from the North Fork in WA will be getting together on May 26 and 27th for a big push to finish off bridge work and benching of the last part of the trail. There will also be a finishing touches weekend June 9/10 if required.

The finer details are being worked out, and I'll post them here as they become available. I've had a chance to walk a good portion of the trail over the past few weeks, and it's gonna blow some minds…so hope to see you out and help us get 'It's Business Time' open for shredding!

I would like to help, but admittedly only have experience with a couple days of casual trail work on Burke. Judging by the list of people you mentioned in the first post, I may be more trouble than I am worth. Is there any unskilled labour that needs to get done?

FYI latest from Jerome on this coming weekend's work days.

Duncan's "It's Business Time" trail work weekend is next week.

May 26 and 27

Come help to complete THE trail of the season, or pass on the word to someone who can.

Meeting Place: 1 km up the Microwave climb, Park at the Function Junction Interpretive Forest Parking Lot, next to the intersection and walk up towards highline.
Meeting Time: 0930

After an introduction, we will visit the existing trail and then go work on the new section.

Bring food, water, gloves and tools if you have them.

Two, one or half a day any time will be valuable, to help complete Duncan's vision.

If you can't make it and someone you know might, feel free to motivate them to join.

From the Parking lot it's give or take 20 min walk, easy access.

See You Soon

Will see you there. Benching you say? I'll bring mattock.

Yo Flip, are you going to leave your bike at work and walk over or just ride up to the trail. I'm wondering if the ride'll just get in the way.
