Had a chat with a buddy o mine who knows the head of events for the summer and the race is gone. Due to some logisical mumbo jumbo, key people doing Crankworx, it just wasn't feasible to run it. Too bad, I missed it last year for Penticton and wanted to do it solo this year but "that's the way she goes boys"……

thats a shame, i was looking forward to trying that race for the first time, even marked it on my calendar.
That's weird. I thought it was cancelled a few weeks back because the snow line was receeding too much. I may have imagined that, though.
last year the transition was near the emarald chair,and the year before it was at mid station so I don't think the snow line matters
