So me and my fellow homie in the struggle are heading up tomorrow. Much to our dismay the powers at be somehow allowed the UBC whistler lodge hostel to close down. That place was sweet.

Anyone know if any of the other hostels are somewhat decent and can handle bikes? Also open to any other options apart from any sort of camping. Staying all/most of the long weekend starting Friday.

Ummmm … its still running, but you can only book on a weekly or monthly basis for the summer. It starts at only $125 a week, which I think its still a sweet deal even if you don't stay the whole week.

Yea I just saw that, but at 2 people thats 250$ plus taxes for a weekend, not really cheap. I think last year it cost us about 120$ all in after tax.

Thus probably time to look for other options.

HI is super nice, but far from the village. Don't really know about the bike policy but I did talk to the owner or manager before and she seemed keen to make it work for bikers

+1 for Fireside Lodge. Next door to UBC, better rates, better rooms/dorm and less rules.

This trip to Kelowna was definately an undertaking - Liam and I had been planning this project for 24 hours. We worked really hard to pull out all the stops in this video. We had slo-mo goggle shots; time lapses; pedal flips; outrageous product shots; unloading and loading the bike; walking through the field with your hand in wheat. At the end of the day this trip was all about just getting out and riding with all my friends.
