At around 4:30 or so today we came off the chair and saw 7 bears. Unbelievable! The usual momma and two cubs were just over from the garbonzo lift, another momma and cubs were were up the grassy slope above where angry pirate starts and just below them was a huge male.
Pretty cool..

I'm in Whistler pretty much every weekend and see bears every time. It was however really cool to see 7 in one area in one glance. The looked like cattle. I've never seen that before.

I never get tired of seeing the bears at Whistler, or anywhere else for that matter. I think we are lucky to be able to view wildlife so easily. It's one of the things that makes this part of the world so great.

 yeah, if he told me to F-off for admiring the bears on the mountain he'd be digging his handlebars, levers and all, out of his ass.

Nah mate, you heard Parksville Guy, fuck off. I saw 14 in one evening a few weeks back, so I'm off to throw myself off a bridge.

I had a couple sightings on Saturday … ripped past a cub clammering up a tree on Heart of Darkness and then a couple of cubs were running up one of the new berms on lower Crank it Up. That's the closest I've ever come to the cubs in my years of riding the park … kinda cool.

I saw some bears near the top of the lift on Saturday which was a treat. Until some idiot hiked up to them trying to get a closer picture. Letting lunch walk up to momma bear may seem nice but they become nuisance bears if we keep feeding them like that.
Then they have to be killed because people are dumb.

I saw a ton too on Sunday. Almost saw one everyone run. One guy came up from lower part of Crank it Up cause there was a bear on the trail and he was scare. So my friend decided to lead the way and ride the trail, and the bear just jumped off when we approached. But the cuttest was a cub on a tiny branch in the tree looking terrified as we rode by….a foot long and all tense. Looked like he was gonna drop on one of us and go for a ride.

I have no filter …

1 Run about a week ago, down lower CIU there was a mom and 3 cubs in the middle of the fast section just after the end tables, and there was a lineup of like 30 people waiting… The run after that there were 2 cubs up a tree, and like 10 people taking pictures of them… i was just hoping they left before the mom came back…
