noticed today that most of the really tall winter trail signs are now about waist height in the midmtn to sub-alpine area….it's really deep up there!

Dude…that avatar is just off the hook.

Whistler's got too much snow for me to get overly jazzed about an opening any time soon - but the good news is the valley's warming up pretty nicely, and even the mid to top mtn snow is spring schmoo now. I think the lower leg of the mountain will get cleared soon - muddy, sure - but it'll clear up fast.

Fingers crossed.

Yeah freaks me out just looking at it:dizzy: So May 18th might be a mud fest huh?

Not as cool now :bandit:

So long as it's not too cold, I don't care… I doubt I'll be able to get up till end of May anyway - but hey, ya never know. Mud I can handle, freezing hands and feet I cannot. I'm soft.

Last year was super muddy on opening weekend and as a result there was almost no one there. I kinda prefer that to a nice sunny day and big crowds.

So during the week is best "Check"

Last year I went on Sunday and it wasn't busy. I quite enjoyed myself despite the mud. This year I have the Monday and Tuesday off too though so I might try a week-day.

As for the rep, you achieve flow after 100 posts, n00b :P.

Rode Lower Your Seat to Train Wreck back to Function yesterday. Only a couple of very small snow patches on TW. And one big one when coming out to the tracks at one point.
I would guess that Train Wreck is clear to the South end but then it's a gamble as to whether the access road to Runaway Train is clear.

How's the DSF on Train Wreck? For whatever reason, spring thaw and TW always had me hittin' piles of pooch goo. Never fun.
