Saw it on that "other" website a few months ago…does anyone know if that guy is still doing that?
Vedder unimog shuttles?
Was there 4-5 weeks ago [HTML_REMOVED] saw him at that time. Looks like he can take around 9 bikes on his trailer. Word is he charges $5.00 to go up.

Is there set times he operates? Any contact info? It's a long drive out there…
All I know is that I have seen him 3 times this year, all on a Sunday around 10-11:00 am. This was April-May time period. Don't know of a website. Try fvmba.com (fraser valley mountain bike association) [HTML_REMOVED] click on NEWS. They may have some archival pics there.

i was told to call Jack's Cycle: 604-858-3011 in Sardis - apparently they may have some info on the unimog guy
thanks!
unimogs are the most pimpin vehicles in existance

Add a 7500 watt sound system and a dj booth and I totally agree.
So many freaks, so few circuses.
so is the unimog still doing shuttles?
i've never been to vedder and i'm starting to get the itch to check it out.
I called Jack's cycles, and the guy I talked to said he hadn't seen him up there in a few months. He didn't have any contact info.
Though I haven't been riding in a couple of months (still nursing my lightly smashed backed), my various connections through the Vedder Mountain Trails Association tell me that Petri (aka unimog guy) is still alive and kickin'. He has no set schedule. He shows up when and if he wants to and goes home when the beer, fatty and $5-per-person fun has run out.
He was showing up usually every Saturday and Sunday, rain or shine, would do a shuttle an hour (round trip) and if you rode well, you could usually beat him down and catch the next shuttle up. If you talked real nice to him, he would usually take you right up to the Den for his last shuttle (still for 5 bucks).
I wouldn't bet the farm that he would be present on any given weekend that you might need his services. To reliably enjoy all the extra sweet trails of Vedder, ya still need to have your own shuttle vehicles, be prepared to beg a ride off someone else or put those legs and lungs that God gave you to good use.
