The worst kept secret is no longer hush hush. The Pemberton Off Road Cycling Association has risen from the ashes. First year goals are fairly modest, run an as yet undetermined number of toonies, sponsor a couple of events, support Pemberton's weekly Bike Club rides for women, support the Air Maiden women's event, and foster trail stewardship in the Pemberton Valley. PORCA is keen to work with and assist existing trail organizations (PVTA and PWA) in the pursuit of maintaining and improving the valley's trail network.
First group ride is April 9th with the return of the Icebreaker Toonie and fundraiser to follow that night. Memberships available at www.porcabikes.com All memberships include $10 devoted to membership in the PVTA.
