Starting Monday May 14, FVMBA and the Fraser Valley Regional District Parks department will be working on a project to legitimize and spruce up the knobgobbler trail on Sumas Mountain. We will be replacing the bridges and doing groundwork to add some much needed flow to this trail. FVRD will be putting up signage and a staging area below the middle gate (the exit of the trail).

Much of the work will be taking place on weekdays during the day. There will also be guys working up there after work. If you would like to be a part of this ground-breaking project, drop me a line by pm or email [email protected]

I know what you guys are thinking…"Knobgobbler…I don't even ride that trail, way too much pedaling." Well guess what, the sooner we finish Knobgobbler the sooner we can get to work on trails you DO ride, like Time Killer.

Do we have to hike up, or are we going to load a truck full of workers and drive up?

We're finishing off a big bridge tomorrow (Saturday). I'm picking Gary up at 9 so we'll be up there around 9:30 or so if anyone would like to help.

Once the logging is done, the gate will officially be open from 7 am to 9 pm. The gate has been open lately for logging. There is a sign that says the gate closes at 3 pm, but that hasn't always been the case, but be careful to not get locked in.

If you're up there with us, no need to worry about gates and locks.

You coming out tomorrow? You didn't call me back. Hope you don't mind when I call you at 8 am tomorrow.
