Headed up to Sumas for a ride today, it was closed. WTF! Never heard or read anything about it. I'm not overly surprised but makes me wonder how much longer til they close the North Shore mountains.

Headed up to Sumas for a ride today, it was closed. WTF! Never heard or read anything about it. I'm not overly surprised but makes me wonder how much longer til they close the North Shore mountains.
They closed it Saturday. It's been on FVMBA's facebook page.

"Sumas Mountain is temporarily closed as per the Fraser Valley Regional District due to extreme hazardous fire risk conditions. This decision is supported by the FVMBA. The trails will remain closed until the fire risk has ceased. Please respect the trails and closures during this unusually dry summer. The dry weather across BC has been exceptionally hard on trails this year, due your part and help save these trails by staying off them until this ban has been lifted."
