there's a small creek that was flowing pretty good last night above the rock spine. it pops out from underground right at the base of the rock spine, and flows down the trail, all the way down over the roots in photo above.

The small creek rushing over the now closed section was immortalized on the cover of Singletrack (photo by Dan Barham):

The rerouted trail entire length is 100 meters long (approximate via GPS), and the old straight fall line
section closed was approximately 50 meters long, effectively doubling the rider's experience.

I can't figure out why it's so hard for dudes to stop and help out for a while.

The best was the guy with a sore elbow. He can ride down seymour but his elbow hurt too much to help move a couple buckets of dirt :) We had a good giggle about that one…

Rode the new section last night and it flows pretty nice already. Once its bedded in fully on the back part on the right of the rock it should be really nice.

Great work!

MmmmmMud Bunnies….

Looks really good. The rock spine will be a fond memory, but perhaps not so sorely missed after all.

I'll bet you don't even notice you rode past the spine Paul.
