So a friend of a friend told me that he had seen some new trail construction on Burnaby mountain. Apparently, it's official-looking, and would be an advanced level trail going down the north side towards the Barnet skills park.
Anyone have any info?

Official and official looking are two different things. The City of Burnaby is officially building a connector to Sidewinder right now, on the south side.
I would be highly surprised if anything official ever gets built on the north side above the Skills. I think engineers are even assessing the slope out there right now….
