I was shopping for a new mattock the other day and come across something called an EZ-pick, basically a mattock head with more of a shovel scoop on one end.
Has anyone used one of these things and can comment on how it works? The pick end is actually quite handy as I'm building in alot of rock and don't use a cutter edge very often, curious if the shovel scoop actually has an advantage.
I own one, it's awesome for places that have good soil to bench into, I don't really use it as a 'shovel' per se though.

my bud die has one, i have used it…i really like it. its the master blaster of mattocks for the gold diggers….
I've used them for landscaping, work great.
Also used an irrigation shovel; anyone use these for trail building?
