Hey, yeah….maybe we'll work on that, because this issue coming up again and again likely means that the ridership doesn't understand the process the stakeholders must undertake to manage their lands.
Good idea Tackle….thanks for not just making sarcastic inflammatory remarks this time around!
Dales WTF?
Yes, the old "put your shovel where your mouth is" routine.
Im talking about a general info article or sticky so Joe Shuttle can understand why they manage the trails the way they do.
Thanks for nothing though.

i'd say "Joe Shuttle" can fuck right off. if they don't like the state of the shore whistler is just up the road.
Who said anything about a shovel? That's a free class that is put on to teach about sustainable trail maintenance.
Sorry it can't be taught online to your armchair.

Man, it is between bike and ski season…
To be clear, nsmb.com and our TAP collaboration with Rock Shox had nothing to do with the removal of the stunt at the bottom of the steep section - before the swamp. I was surprised to see it had been taken away the last time I rode the trail. We actually put quite a lot of work into improving the transition at the bottom where I had pinched twice before.
Those of you being dicks should be ashamed of yourselves. And those whining about 'dumbing down' haven't even bothered to clear deadfall off the preserved original line on Expresso. The same people who took the time to write on stunts with a sharpie giving us instructions (keep this, fix this etc.) haven't lifted a finger to maintain the line they apparently loved so much. It's there, it would be rideable if someone took the time to clear the deadfall, but the haters would rather just hate and complain than do any work.
TylerwernieLL - you are barking up the tree going after Morgan. You likely don't care but he's one of the good guys.
its the same everywhere.
lazy dikheads love to bitch…

Wow, didn't notice that was happening…. New level of douche right there…..
how many people actually care about some random old ladder bridge with a downramp getting taken out? 6? 7? This isn't some unknown, unmaintained, trail out in the hinterlands…this is an actively maintained trail that's a part of known system, when they're aware of potential liabilities, they have to act, else they could potentially be held liable. The land manager isn't interested in building and maintaining a useless stunt, the local trail assc. also is uninterested in being responsible for such a thing. Why is this so hard to understand?

One ladder may not be a big thing, but I think the fear among some is that one by one things are taken down, never to return.

Perhaps needless "stunts" are a relic of a bygone era, perhaps more riders are interested in trails without them than there are riders willing to work on them?
My personal opinion is that there are many more important things to work on in the trail system that take higher priority over replacing "stunts".

exactly….most riders I know are of this opinion too
So What about treated lumber ,or Creasote on buried Footings .This stuff is a hazzard to work with, and bad for the Enviroment.
Build it Burly with Gussets and Ceder Slats for Decking .
Some Bike parks mix Cement with dirt to help preserve the Sculpting. But what does Concrete contain Paint, Corrosive Chemicals,Silica dust.not only bad to breath but eats the finish on your bike if the acid is not rinsed off.
