Abbotsford-Lost Oakleys Trail Repairs

Got this off of the FVMBA web-site:

We are going to need 10 to 12 people to come out on Saturday, February 26th at noon to the Lost Oakleys trail to repair the bridge. It was washed down-stream earlier this spring, and we need to place it back in the right spot and re-attach it. The bonus is you have to ride the entire trail to get to the bridge! The trail starts on McKee road on the Western edge of Ledgeview Golfcourse. Hope to see you there!

Me [HTML_REMOVED] my son are in do we need any tools?

I should be available too, along with my son.

Can we get more specifics on meeting spot/ need for tools, etc.

Is the plan for sure to ride the trail first, in which case - I've not ridden it yet, so once started, is the route obvious? And, noon at the trail head, or noon at the repair location?

Might be a good excuse for us to come out to Abbotsford. :)

He might know, I think he works on those trails sometimes.

I emailed Gary Harder about equipt. we need to repair bridge. lets meet at the parking lot at tree farm at noon see ya there

Although, now 2 things have come up. - Soccer with John might prevent me going, or an earlier start with Andre might get me up Ledgeview around 9:00 and THEN hit up Lost Oakleys for the repair job.

Gonna have to figure out the soccer thing. :mad:

Sounds like Garys going to be there to we need shovels [HTML_REMOVED] buckets.Gary is also looking for cable if any one has some.Is the bridge close to the road so we can leave suppot vehicle the with supplies? gtgo

As I understand it the bridge is at the end of the trail - near Clayburn village. You could try and phone Gary - his number is availabe at www.fvmba.com. I was planning on riding down the trail first. Hope to see you there.

Good to hear the trail is still around and getting fixed, did anyone find Len's sunglasses?

Another pair of glasses lost? I think this trail eats sunglasses - ever wonder where the name comes from? Ask Gary.
