Gary's comments on what will most likely happen to ledgeview make me sick. Mostly because i live in the area and the thought of seeing hundreds of new houses and cars creeping up there, BLAHAARRRRHHHG, cough, cough, BLLLLLLLAAAAARGH, cough, cough. :dead:

For those who have never rode out in the valley, you are missing out. There are reasons why us Valley locs stay out east. If anyone wants a tour of what we offer hit me up with a PM. Does anyone have any more info on the mission XC race?

I have never raced EVER(!!!) and I am SSSSLLLOOOOOOWWWWWW but I would like to possibly come out and give it a try.

Expected winning time should be 1hr to 1hr 15mins. This doesn't mean the race will take 1hr for everyone who participates. The emphasis is on coming out, having fun and racing/riding some new trails that you might have not ridden before. Then a great post race FVMBA bbq at every event.

Please see below for the previously promised list of the FVMBA's 2010 Accomplishments and 2011 Goals:

FVMBA 2010 Accomplishments:

1. Built some incredible trails such as Rock Diva and extensions to Holiday Sauce and Emma Peel
2. Formalized a Partnership Agreement with Recreation Sites [HTML_REMOVED] Trails BC to establish the Sumas Mountain Bike Recreation Site
3. Partnered with Gutsploder.net to produce and distribute trail maps for the Woodlot, Bear Mountain, Red Mountain, Sumas Mountain and Vedder Mountain. These maps are available to anyone for a small fee and are sold in bike shops throughout the Lower Mainland.
4. New signage demarcating trail entrances and exits on Sumas Mountain
5. Group Rides and BBQ[HTML_REMOVED]#8217;s on Sumas (Mar. 21), Bear [HTML_REMOVED] Red (Apr. 17), and Vedder (May 16 and Oct. 31)
6. The FVMBA organized a total of six trail days, including four days on Vedder, one day on Bear and one day on Sumas
7. The FVMBA has been carefully cultivating relationships with local governments to build on in the future to keep our trails open and support new trail development
8. New ground has been broken in the development of partnerships with other trail users such as Recreation Sites [HTML_REMOVED] Trails BC and the Vedder Mountain Trails Association
9. Development of the FVMBA brand and website to more effectively promote the sport of mountain biking in the Fraser Valley
10. Increased capacity to organize races, trail maintenance and attract funding for new trails by developing and strengthening the FVMBA team.

FVMBA 2011 Strategic Priorities:

I just can't believe all the work needed,so for the next month every saturday,maybe more,I am going to organize work crews to go and get her done on Sumas.
Interested ? feeling guilty or just want to give back ,and feel the need to do trailwork?
my place every sat morn. approx 10am (mtn bike time we don't sweat it)

Heres the course map for the first FVMBA All Mountain Toonie Race Series. All major interestions are marked but the entire course wont be marked till the day prior to the race. This is to prevent marker tampering.

March 6th!! Come out and support FVMBA.

Wentings will have an assortment of 2011 Demo Bikes an hand at the race. Brand new 2011 Devinci Wilson, Dixon, and Dexter will be avalible. Wanting to try out a 29'er? Wentings will also have a Fisher Rumblefish 5" dualie 29'er and an Opus Avro1 29'er Hardtail. All you need is your shoes/pedals and helmet to take any of thses rigs for a rip.
