and I didn't know section 55 was a law, but you can't nail into any timber, let alone live trees (duh)

Interesting…illegal to even ask for cash/nails/spikes that will be used on illegal trails

"(C) solicit funds or materials from another person with the stated intention that the funds or material will be used to enable any person to drive or place any nail, spike or other potentially hazardous object into any timber that the person does not own or is not authorized to alter."

and the spikes that I'm about to go pound today, they never happened either..and i won't have pictures to prove it.

i have always just taken for granted the freedom we have here to do our own thing…we pretty much self police..plus most the guys here are too lazy to get out and build ..

so its not like there is a 100 people making a mess out there..

we have like 2-3 active builders on the b+k..(not counting film crews, but who can ride that biz?) and maybe 5-6 guys coast wide…

can't get a decent vege burger for under $15 to save my life tho..that part of the city life i miss for sure..

i've been using the 230 and i find its better than my 170,it handles the 18" bar no probs but i use the 16 to pack it around without taking off the bar and chain, i've done dozens of log rips, lots of old yellow cedar here thats really hard the 230 eats through like a hungry fat kid at a Apple Betty's buffet. I used both 170 and 230 for tree spacing and 230 beats the 170 hands down. Plus 10 more cc with little weight added. Watch the new filler caps they can be tricky had one open on me spilling fuel all over me. Almost a Ricky Bobby moment.

krow, if that's you or your buddies in this clip, I seriously suggest you get some training and safety gear. This operator is going to end up killing himself or someone else in the bush.

No complaints for my MS170 so far except for the fuel/oil caps. They seem to leak (mostly the gas side) unless I torque em down real tight. The problem with that is the inner part of the cap strips out pretty easy with the chainsaw tool or other large screwdrivers.:swearing: Does anyone use a better tool than the chainsaw wrench that comes with the saw?

I wish the flippy caps would come on the 170.. Or at least a square/allen bit socket
