Yea that should handle the biznass..
I'm really looking forward to seeing what it can do on a bigger tree. :D

it looks like you are correct, but they must've swapped over a larger bar..

stevie smith uses stihl…:)

The one thing I do like about the Husky is when it starts getting deep into large wood the saw has a power band that comes right alive.
you can hear it and feel it big time.
But I only feel that on the larger XP 300 series saws.
I love them for cutting down the larger diameter stumps before we stump grind them out.
But that is the only thing I like about them :)
I like my MS 460.
How big of stumps can your stump grinder handle?
We burn the Vermer SC-252
If ya know how to do it. She will eat anything and everything.
The below are some of the larger ones I did.
that IS awesome…
personally i actually think husky + stihl are probably pretty much as good as each other. ( i don't actually have the critical PRO experience…) i own stihl because all the loggers here use them..in the kootenays everybody I knew had husky saws… i never really understood why there was a polarized user base like that..?
what about you silk you use them both, is there any real difference?
Well for me I have 2 reasons to run Stihl over Husky.
I Find the Husky is way harder to start. When in a tree multiple pulls to start it up if it stalls sucks balls.
A Stihl can take one hell of a beating. I have dropped more than I want to admit from 50+ feet and they never miss a beat and keep right on trucking. The Husky explodes on impact almost every time.
ok thats good info right there…
well i guess you better drop them from 50 ft and see how they fair..lol
just kidding…i used to run a poulan and i thought it was pretty good.
The missus got me a mini Stihl for christmas along with a new fiskars axe. The main purpose is collecting firewood for camping. So the mini 170 suits my needs perfectly.
what is that fir , pine? i can't tell..

Does she really love you? Don't forget the chaps, helmet, faceshield, ear protection and gloves, even if it's just firewood.

It's actually cedar.

hah I guess she doesn't love me that much cause no protection came with it. I already had ear, eye, gloves… the basics, but my next purchase will be the combo helmet\shield\ear protection. One kid I grew up with tried to cut his head in half from a kick back so I quite conscience of safety. Of course back then none of us wore much protective gear.
