Awesome weekend on the Sunshine Coast. Super fun day. Well worth the cost of the ferry. Great pub with awesome burgers on the way home as well. Blackfish pub.

Ya that was a tough one for me. I've done similar sized jumps in Whistler but these are the first real gap jumps I've ever done. A little intimidating. Did tons for my confidence though having the little safety zone to case on. Real gap would have ended me for sure.

When you get the speed of the jumps right, then it's actually really smooth and easy to overshoot the sender.
What is the newest map book available for the SSC?
I have a bunch of them but am not sure if I have the latest version.
Anyone?
(I think this post got missed as it is the last post on the previous page.)

PM Redneck Jeff. He runs a shop over there and can probably sort you out.

ummm, as your doctor i recommend against riding with a scaphoid fracture.
Thanks, the version I have is older. Will pick up a new one this weekend. Will also print off all of the maps from the site Uncle Duke linked.
Are those trails pushes, road shuttles, truck only shuttles…? Some awesome looking riding (some stuff that looks way beyond me too)…

the local map book is awesome, people often comment on how ez it is to read and navigate etc…also the map book guy is well known for kicking down to the local builder…
this is my 6th year rolling through the sunshine coast with BCBR… one of these days I have to come ride again. Did one day 6 years ago checking out the old rat race course.

Which shop? The one in Gibsons or Sechelt?
Thanks to all the volunteers working on Highway 102, that is a huge improvement.
There are a couple of big trees down on Sidewinder at head height, a decent size chain saw will be required. They currently have BC Bike Race flagging tape on them but that will likely be removed after the race.
Biggles and his trusty saw removed the tree from Viper that was just after a couple of ladder bridges about 2/3rd the way down.
