I'm not sure where to post this

We're heading for Sunpeaks next weekend (Sept. 3-6) but just got an email from the owner of the townhouse we're renting saying the mountain is in danger of being closed down due to a forest fire?

Anyone know the scoop?

Check out the link from the BC Gov web site. I am thinking you would be ok.

No worries the problem fires seem to be out Chase way right now. Came back from Silver Star this evening and it is really smokey down that way.

It seems smokey everywhere, up on Garbanzo today was smokey.

My brother is flying heli up in Williams Lake right now and says it's just crazy with fires.

You're all good - come on up.

We've got good people on it, and containment is looking great. Plus it's actually cooler/raining on it a bit today.

No threat to Sun Peaks in any case, so have a great ride.
