we did the heli drop back in the day a few times, usually it was 4 or 5 hour day. lots of hike a bike to get the best rock sections and johnee Smoke was our guide . Having ridden trials bikes up there since it would be pretty easy to get lost on the wrong trail as there are quite a few trials options below the cabin

the Goat (the upper trail) really cant handle DH mountain biking as its pretty tough to not drag your rear tire because its that steep.

Has anyone ridden Fred's this week since they cut down trees by the entrance? I heard it is still rideable, you just need to find the trail head. Looking to ride it and WOM this weekend.

^Yes. It's a pain to get around the trees, but knowing the trail starts on the other side of the gully makes it easy to find. While there is no tape at the entrance of the trail, there's tape at the exit, marking Fred's as closed so I'm not sure what the status is.

spent the afternoon doing drainage work on the midget, as well as some aggressive pruning and closed a couple strava lines. she's in good shape, considering all the wet traffic. need to replace the first little bridge, my first bridge ever - i used hemlock stringers (kook!), and they're already dead after only 8 yrs. needs a couple new bridges too, will get to it when i have more time…

Thanks for your hard work. Love that trail!

There's nothing better than an Orangina after cheating death with Digger.

Ditto, really fun trail and massive thanks. I've heard it's been closed for the winter in the past? We rode it 3 or 4 weeks ago and it was great but this is a pretty dry winter.

^were you the guy with the saw, flagging Rupert today?

Good times in Squamish today. Lots of people out. Rupert, Tazer's, Entrails, Boney Elbows, Two stroke, Jacks, 50 Shades etc., etc.,etc., all good. Surprisingly, a bit wetter than it was a couple weeks ago. Excellent conditions by any measure. For February - downright ridiculous.

All clear. Good choices right now. But keep in mind Fred may be inaccessible due to logging, making tinder access a but tricky. Valleycliffe trails are great right now.

Nope. I was stuck at work all day.
