What's it looking like down there? Dying to get out on the bike
Squamish 2013 conditions
I was down a week ago, still a foot of compacted snow at Alice Lake. Valleycliff is getting close, but still has solid snow/ice in any shaded spot.
Forecast shows steady above-zero temps for the next week, so it could be soon…

Snow, ice, more snow. Going to be a while until things thaw out.
Crouching Squirrel [HTML_REMOVED] the trails in that area are good to go… Bit of a mission to get up there, but definitely do-able.
Rode Jacks up to Credit Line, then back up to Crouching Squirrel today. Climbing was pretty good, only a few spots we had to walk due to ice. The snow was rideable and grippy, for the most part. Both descents are completely clear of snow and in great condition. Couple of trees down on Credit Line, but you should be expecting that at this time of year anyway!
Totally worth the drive down to start the season off…and to eat at the Campfire Grill of course
valleycliff is 99% clear of snow, blow-down here and there.
lost to the new development: most of summer's eve, half of 7 stitches, lower mt of phlegm, lower rampage. still lots left, but some good connectors are gone.
Mikes Loop blowdown gong show is now clear. As are the couple that were on Credit Line.

Is the bottom of rampage actually cleared now, or does the clearing stop at summers eve right there at the bottom when 7 stitches intersects? This would be a great loss, as my go to loop is down Rampage, up Mtn of Phlegm, then down Labour and Dope Slope. Getting from Rampage to Mtn of Phlegm was a bit messy in the fall, but still possible.
I had heard that Summers eve would be rerouted and replaced but I don't know how true this is. I had overlaid the bike map over the legal map and to me it looked like the extents of the development will be pretty much along 7 stitches from the bottome of Cougar Ridge over to the bottom of Rampage. I thought the new trail would essentially follow that line and then extend to the bottom of Mtn of Phlegm. But by the sounds of your description this is all gone as well now, is that right?

thank you.
how much snow is left on Mikes Loop?
oh incidentally, I heard that a massive slab in the Value Addded/Icey Hole hood has been opened up. From what I'm told it's about 4 times the length of the first slab on VA. Anyone…?
thank you.

No worries. Took 2 chainsaws a few hours including the walk in and out. There was quite a lot of big stuff to get through, and it's pretty inconveniently located far away from truck access. There were two side by side trees that were uprooted that now look like they were cut down for fun, but that's not the case. Once the fallen trees were cut, the shared root ball flipped back into the hole where it came from and now there's just two freshly cut stumps sitting there looking vandalized.
There's still a reasonable amount of snow on Mike's, but you should be able to pedal more than half of it now that the deadfall is clear. I have not see Tracks from Hell and Mashiter though, but I suspect you are best advised to come via Jacks and 4 Lakes.
Forest is smashed right to 7 stitches, as you say. No access now but perhaps a higher trail can be rebuilt, though it followed an obvious bench, might be tricky.
Big value added slab is called "the penthouse", it's pretty cool, with an optional manly-man air feature.

is this said slab the one we talked about in the past, off to the left of Larvacide?
No it's further left, it's even better
