a crew from Tyax Adventures cleared the Warner Lake - Lower Gun Creek. snow on the north aspects still though some of the south aspect alpine is rideable. do what you will with that info.

Just a speculative fiction. No cause for alarm.

Nice. Can't wait: we have a crew going up Canada Day long weekend with three campsites booked. Should be nice!

Sunshine Mt. trails in Bralorne are shut down while the area is being logged. Supposedly they're going to clean up the trails when they're done. There's a couple of new roads going in too, so there's potentially new terrain getting opened up.

The alpine above Tyaughton Lake is quickly becoming snow free. As of last Saturday Ridge-a-Rama was possible. You will encounter 1 - 2 feet of snow on shaded north aspects.

We were up there early Aug. 2012. At the time Brett Creek had about 100 trees down, we moved what we could/had to and struggled past the rest… To late in the evening to do more. Unlikely anyone cleared that out that late in the season (unless hunters on horseback were heading up).

Based on what I've seen on other trails in the Chilcotin, I wouldn't be surprised to see another 100 down from this winter. With all the dead pine beetle trees in the area, the trails up there are going to be getting hit hard every winter for the next decade.

No idea on Jim Creek, never been up there but I've heard that motorcycles go up that way so likely someone has cleared it.

Edit: If anyone has any more current info than Aug. 2012 about Brett Creek, I'd be very interested to hear it…

Thanks Craig/Mtn Bike Trails.

I dont see any info on the pink bike link though.

Brett Creek, I did it end of Sept 2012 and there was some blowdown but certainly not 100+ trees - it was great, we went up Jim Creek (pretty sure i have the right drainage) then across and down Brett.

Sounds like someone did some clean up after us then.

We went up Shulaps from the Yalakom valley side, through Hog Creek watershed, down Brett Creek. Having done it once, I don't think I'd do it again.

Jim was mainly a hikeabike/walk up a steep loose quad/moto track for 2-3 hours up.
(definately could ride some of it)

once in alpine it was great but not with a lot of blowdown.
