anyone been back to graveyard? wondering about big creek trail river crossings, headed back there this coming week.
South Chilcotin 2012 (aka Spruce Lake)
the creeks are running at normal summer levels now. just walked from upper tyaughton to spruce lake with out getting my feet wet thanks to advice from an old wrangler.
Just a speculative fiction. No cause for alarm.
what was the advice? ride a horse?

Interested in hearing what you find, will be heading that area soon.
i'm predicting stunning views, no other bicycle riders, and a faint ribbon of singletrack
planning an elbow-lorna-deer pass triple-header
I know, it is not technically the South Chilcotin, but has anyone been up Shulaps yet this year?

the blow down on brett was a bit of a flow killer last year, and sounds the same this year. if you wanted to spend a day with a chain saw it would go a long ways.

Thanks for the info! Any idea on a rough count of the number of trees down? 50? 100?
(Rode a trail in Eastern Washington a couple of weeks ago, probably 100 trees down, some were very large and some large clumps. We were the first bikes down this year, only hikers before us. Even the horses had only made it up about 1/3rd of the way before they quit. Luckily 2 of our crew were carrying pruning saws so we cleared what we could.)
I was wondering if there are guidebooks for the trails in this area. Some friends and I are considering a float plane drop for mid-September and I'd like to gather some info.
Any suggestions would be most appreciated!
Cheers!

Not sure about guidebooks, but you'll want the map from Trail Ventures BC
