Wow, cool split tree photo.

If it's where I think it is then it was my least favourite bit of Neds so that's a good spot for that to happen :)

We were riding there on Thursday and suddenly heard this noise apparently made by a huge tree falling some way off behind us, but didn't investigate it and I totally forgot about it. Holy shit we got lucky.

Saw it on Friday pm (Jun 1). Would probably make a great logride … it fell pretty much along the trail-line (if I recall correctly). That second tree was split almost exactly in 1/2. Pretty amazing stuff …

Rain, Sun, wet and muck was the order of the day today.

Not much you can riding or trail work. Its wet.

It's a pretty impressive to see the split tree, and the end of the tree is sitting perfectly on another stump.

These pics are from Friday night:

And it smells great too, all cedar-y and pine-y.

Uh oh. Better send in a few dump truck loads of gravel to construct a ride around

cedar - splits like a charm. straight seam every time.

I'm ignoring Smedley.

Noticed that a bridge was removed near the gap jump on Ned's.

I crashed hard on Sunday because I expected the bridge to be there. Where the bridge used to be is now a gap jump.

Be careful everyone!

Do you mean the bridge to the left of the gap, the downward sloping log?

the bridge and the log are gone, by the look of the remains piled off to the side they appear to have been in poor condition and needed to be removed
I thought it looked weird before I got there and slowed down, stopped and warned the people behind me
the current launch pad for the gap jump looks like the old start of the bridge
