Super fun day out there on Seymour. Rode TNT, Dales, Forever After … Also did some loops of Sticks and Stones, hero traction out there except for the odd frozen patch (careful of those)

Finished off with Empress, perfect condition, right to the last roll then solid ice.

Thanks to the repair work on Dales, near the end of the trail. It had a few ragged bits that were nicely fixed up.

Also hit Dales today. There was so much traction everywhere no wrong could be done.

Running great yesterday on Severed and Pangor, couple of bad ice areas:

Severed, about 100 m up from the junction with Bridle where it flattens out. Last place you'd expect it since it's pretty low, also hard to see coming and it's a fast section.

Pangor- root bundle right before the entrance to the rock roll, pretty easy to spot as you come out of the right hand turn.

Also about 100 m up from intersection with Bridle where there's a sustained section of smooth undulating rock. This one's thick and won't be gone anytime soon.

Keep an eye out for these spots especially if they're under snow.

Any word on where the current snow line is at? Don't want to drive out from the valley if there is tons of snow.

Tree down on neds. Where the old A frame used to be. Would be good to use to rebuild said structure.

We went up today and then bailed as we were hungover and had a really new inexperience rider in our group and we could tell he wasn't really comfortable riding snow. There is quite a bit of snow on those trails. Rideable, but snowy. I'd wait for it to melt / dry a bit to keep from rutting it up personally.

Thinking of heading up for a ride this afternoon.

Anyone up today for a snow ride. What is the snow level. Is the Mushroom parking lot accessible or is it pretty much lower trails like Old Buck and Bridal or from the Hyannis?

Cheers
J

Awesome out there!

Bridle is clear, as is most of old buck, Baden gets a bit snowy up at the incline exit. Severed had minimal snow on it, sketchiest part was the BP on the way to Severed with icy snow on the skinny plank bridges.

Bottletop is prime! Can ride it at virtually full speed. I'd have gone higher altitude had I known I could.
