Hey hey, anyone been out to rossland lately? With the dry summer, are there any must hits/miss? Oasis?

everything is in perfect shape,not too hot either
oasis has been shut for years now:(

must hits are at the new Back Jack rec area (en route to the 7 summits trail head)..basically the PR secton of old Oasis..all re-done and buffed

why not head a little further east and check out the goods around Nelson?

how about that Smallwood/Bigwood area - lower angle pedally kinda stuff?

The Smallwood FSR area is a pretty good bet if you want mostly pedally/xc type riding.

All but one of the trails there are very low angle and I'd prefer to hit them on an XC bike.

The only DH style trail in that network is called Bigwood, which is a super fun, flowy rip. Not a technical or challenging trail but lots of high speed fun regardless, plus the lookout before you drop in is worth the pedal to.
