Rode 3 Blind Mice from the Cow's End entrance last night. Full on, good to go. Snow line is now at 3500', for about 2500' of snow free vertical. We cleared a few fallen trees out of the way, but there's not much down. There's lots of folks out clearing right now (thanks Pete, and others).

The Beer Run is snowy at the top, and there is beetle kill removal going on right now in the lower reaches.

Carmi/Peat Bog is still posthole city for the top half.

TKO snowline is still around 3500'. Cawston Creek is much higher as it is more exposed, so roughly 5000', but there is still significant snow in the trees. I'm expecting late May to get into that stuff.

BR worth riding? What's the creek crossing like? Hoping to get out there next weekend with some Arawana virgins.

Cheers Smoke.

It's early days yet. I didn't ride it, but it looks like it might be best to let the forestry guys finish up a bit more before hitting it.

As for runoff, just watch the creeks in general. Right now they're minimal, but if it really is going to hit the mid 20's this weekend expect the water to rise substantially.

3 Blind Mice is open to the top. Drove in from the reservoir last night to drop off Kurt and the boys. A bit mucky on the drive in, but that rain washed away almost all of the snow.

It's kind like summer now…

Snowline is now at about 5000', and rapidly rising. Kobau is getting the first look of the season this weekend. Should have a report for you on Tuesday.

Kobau is clear of snow. Will be heading up for a camping/maintenance party in the next couple of weeks.

3 Blind is un-fricken-believable right now. Ultra tacky, no dust.

Peat Bog has been vandalized (old stunts for the most part),but is otherwise in good shape.

How's Campbell Mountain? Are there any decent trails up there?

Campbell's is fine. Pretty small compared to everything else around though. Decent enough for a short rip. It also is very sandy, so when things dry out and get hot, it's not your best bet. More of a spring/fall sort of place.

Trail update for Monday, June 18th.

Runoffs are still a bit high, so check the creek flows before dropping in to Ivy League or risk getting a wet crotch.

The Mice is so sick right now. Tackier than two Czech brothers trying to pick up ladies at a laundromat.

Kobau is dry and dusty, even with all the rain we've had. We cleared most of the remaining downed trees yesterday, but there's still a couple on each side of the mountain that we couldn't do without a real saw.

Code 4 has a new wallride either recently finished or very nearly finished.

Snowline is now at about 6000' and it's melting very fast. I expect the alpine to be rideable within a few weeks. Basically, once the sun comes out for real it should be game on for high elevation.

If you're heading to Penticton/Kobau, along Highway3, you're going past :)
Shuttle drop route is all signed off Snowpatch Road (at 5km)

The lady friend and I are headed to ride choice locations off the crow's nest highway next week. If anyone wants to show us the ropes, big bikes or little bikes, that would be great. Or post ride recommendations here…

It's dry, it's dusty, it's still pretty rad out.

Alpine is wide open and loamy, unlikely you could ask for better conditions up there. Looks like we're in for a long autumn season. With a mild El Nino setting up, I'm anticipating a late start to skiing.

Feel free to pester me for rides if you're bored of the Shore.

Seems like we're well into an El Nino cycle now. Warm and wetter than usual.

Trails are open up to about 5000'. A bit muddy in places, but nothing like the Shore.

Been exploring some different zones around the area lately, mostly on the lighter bike. Found some gems, that's for sure.

It was insanely warm this week, but finally it's cooling off. Trails are as good as it's possible to get right now. Dry, tacky, no dust, no mud.

That's a good one.

Wrong. Always.
