Chain lakes trail - clear of snow?
Thinking it would make a good solstice ride.
No snow on Chain Lakes trail (lol), but a fair amount of blowdown. JTR is mostly clear, with the sliders being very challenging.
Thread killer
I would suggest waiting for some precip but it is clear of deadfall.
Mackenzie parking lot has been moved across the railroad tracks. It's bigger than the old lot and a bit more secluded. Nice upgrade. Please spread the word.
New parking lot looks great. We are still in desperate need of moisture. Honestly cannot remember exactly when I last rode on tacky dirt. Been dust surfing since early spring
What's the latest in the season that anyone's ridden JTR?
There's nothing better than an Orangina after cheating death with Digger.
ridden gravatrout in late november. 3 or 4 inches of snow at the top if fun…
Anyone been out to Della recently?
Whats the road condition like. Is it a bad idea to go in an older SUV with an NSR as the shuttle vehicle?
no idea on recent condition….although with a bit of moisture I'm sure it's running good….the road is one of the better ones to shuttle and you should be fine in an SUV….so real waterbars, one pemby dude I know did it in a hatchback….
I've shuttled Della in my Subaru Legacy before (carefully…). It's a pretty nice road as shuttle roads go
probably have trouble getting to the upper della trailhead. otherwise its a good road. Bit washed out at the beginning, but its negotiable.
thanks eveyrone
Lots of moisture even up in pemby yesterday. Overnight was dry, Econoline had some big puddles on it. Happy and nimby were nice and slippery as well.
