I ride Meat Grinder at least once a week but it seems like no-one else does anymore.
are you kidding? standard lap for me, although I only make it up once or twice a summer. Love it!

I only say that as I have literally never seen anyone else on it! There are no fresh tire marks and the moss is starting to creep over the once very defined trail on some of the rocks
It should be a standard lap for everyone, it's a great trail
I ride Meat Grinder at least once a week but it seems like no-one else does anymore. People don't know how much awesomeness they're missing out on, with flowy sections, steeps, rock-rides…what more do you need! Rain helps the loose sections for sure, at this time of year it can feel like you're just holding in a couple of places.
It's very overgrown and no other tracks in sight up there. Might take a bit of searching for the trail if you don't know it in a few spots. I'm gonna go and clean it up a bit when I get a chance this week
I love that trail so much, definitely one I push for whenever we talk about riding up there….so much really good stuff, and an awesome mix of riding. climby traverse keeps the shuttle crowd away too….
Anyone know if the Owl trail to JTR is clear of snow?
still some snow, but also a ton of trees down apparently. i suspect the trail fairies will get at it as soon as the snow is gone, shouldn't be long.
Rode Middle Earth and Gravitron this past weekend. Middle Earth is in good shape but Gravitron is nothing but deep deep dust!

'twas it not ever thus?

now that i know its on a map… anyone ridden that trail yet - condition, accessible, clear of snow?

We cleared it in early May, but only got as far as the second leg, and that was a hike. Snow is probably gone there, but still around at the top.
Rode up Nimby, Middle Earth to Gravitrout today. Trails in unreal shape with current rain, thanks Pemby builders.

You must have been the guys that passed us on Middle Earth, we did the same route and conditions were best I've ever ridden in Pemby. Amazing climb!
broke some pemby cherries on saturday - took them on a tour of the fun stuff from the nimby race, left out the gratuitous fire road climbs and dead end loops… really nice riding off the clock, great trails, great conditions, great fun! weather held out until we got back to the truck, beers on the tailgate as the rain started coming down
just a heads up: dark forest had a couple of new logging roads slashed through it - the trail was flagged on the other side but still a bit hard to find

rode meatgrinder yesterday for first time in a couple years. looks like its been all but forgotten, some sections are just grassy meadows. still a classic line. could use some pruning and raking.
Tenquille? Anyone know if it is clear. Usually ride from the valley up the old logging road and then take the hiking trail traverse across to the decent.
Thinking snow might be a problem on the traverse.

we rode it today, so good with the recent rain….definitely needs a trim, but most of the lines were riding super sweet!
I found a 8.5" x 11" spiral bound map book for California on the FSR road just below the turn off to the bottom of Overnight Sensation. PM if its yours.
