Maple Ridge Woodlot 2015 Conditions

Place to talk about conditions in the Woodlot.

I will also post some of the trail work times here if anyone wants to help out.

Great conditions today on all the trails. Fast, grippy dirt and surprisingly minimal frost heave.

Someone fired off a single gunshot (rifle or shotgun) somewhere near Blood Donor around 2pm. Never found out who or exactly where though.

Doing a bit of work in the Woodlot tommorow evening, Wednesday Jan 14, 730 pm at the vehicle gate.

some logging has started just past the bottom of PBR hopefully they are working east not west.

Nice work Ryando and crew on the redo of the little fun drop on Giant Killer, much better alignment.
Ryan, if your comfortable with it..
could you perhaps PM where you keep a shovel/bucket on Giant Killer so that I could occasionally touch up the lips on some of the gaps. The last gap needs some fill badly and I'm more than happy to do it and I promise to put you tools back.

Yeah the new drop looks great. The first jump on blood donor could use some love as well.

I'm heading up today and have a shovel and bucket close by the 1st big Blood Donor Gap…..if my equipment is still their I plan to re-dirt and hit that gapper up so it should be repaired as of later today

you should let crashdad know he has been looking over that trail the last few seasons and is back working on it again as of late .

I have applied a nice layer of dirt to the top lip of the 1st gap on blood donor , it jumps nice .

If Crash Dad ain't cool with it, he can let me know and I will cease to add dirt to any jumps that require it.
However I'm sure he doesn't care as long as I'm not altering anything.
I will confirm next time I see him.
He has done some nice woodwork below
