Just a heads up, saw a huge cougar when riding last night at Mcnutt. It was on the powerlines road, so within line of sight of the westmost trails in the woodlot. Biggest cat I've ever seen in the wild, and didn't care in the least that I was standing up on a 300 and reving the engine, just stared at me and then trotted off into the dark.

Watch yourself if you are riding solo in this neighborhood.

Thanks for the cougar update. Still have never seen one in the wild.

Today, there were approximately ten dirtbikes, quads, and side-by-sides in Woodlot 0007. All going much too fast to stop and advise the Woodlot license holder prohibits them in the area. All gained access from the West along the Hydro Right-of-Way.

They did attempt to access Shotgun from all the damage at the trailhead but turned around. I don't know if they gained access to any other trails.

Message left with Woodlot management.

Trails were mint today! Thanks trail-builder-Fairies for the amazing work…Marco was lovely bumping into you and helping out a wee bit. The leg buster and muddy fun with pulled pork and beer after was also not too bad :)

Trails were perfect today. Nice and tacky, no huge puddles etc. Rode Goldmine, Bloggy, and Shotgun, all were mint. No cougars or bears, and someone nailed up a very cool photo of the Cabin at the head of Goldmine as it stood in 1980's.

Lu, isn't Whistler open? Why are you still slumming in the Woodlot?

It took 7 months to complete, but the bridge on Snakes [HTML_REMOVED] Ladders is fixed. For 6 of the 7 months I had a broken/dislocated wrist that needed time to heal.

In October '13 I found the bridge broken and in need of a replacement.

So I cut out the bridge and began collecting the materials needed to replace the bridge (stringers and rung).

Then I broke and dislocated my wrist in November '13.

In March '14 I was able to begin light trail work so I began stripping the stringers of bark.

By May '14 my hand and wrist was strong enough to do the heavy lifting required to start the assembly of the bridge.

I went to town one afternoon nailing in the majority of the rung.

The "Trail Fairies" arrived to put their finishing touches on the bridge.

The chips were flying when it came time to trim the edges.

Wood chips were everywhere when I was done.

The "Trail Fairies" stood atop the finished product.

They certainly enjoyed the ride down the logging road after a hard morning of building.
