That route just seems mean. It’s a silly route regardless of what you plan to ride. Every once in a while I ride up Mosquito Cr, through to skyline. I've made the BP mistake before. You’d better bring your hiking boots for the first mile of the BP ;-) I don't find find it much better in the downhill direction either. Much faster to just take the Powerline to Skid road, then up the climber.

Agreed that is very weird. Why not include the entire climb trail to 7th on down to lower Crippler? Avoid fire road climb and see more of the mountain. And no riding on roads.

Rode at Fromme Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning. Parking lot was full both days with 5ish cars lined up waiting to park.

Transition was there Saturday doing demos. Got to try a Smuggler 29'er and a 140mm Scout Carbon. Super impressive bikes, especially the Smuggler as it was my first time on a 29er. Was blown away how fast it accelerated and maintained speed/roll-over. The Scout was awesome as well but the Monarch on the rear was pretty dead which didn't help.

Rode Bobsled, Floppy, Leppard, Crinkum and Kirkford. Some muddy bits and a puddle or two in flat spots but in large the trails are in great shape including the new work on Bobsled - I like the doubles after the wood berm.

Snow appears on the road around Pile of Rocks but it's minimal. No snow on any of the trails on the 7th switchback.

No Quarter was rideable up to the top of the Excecutioner Swithbacks, then mostly climbable to the skidder road, had to hike the skidder and the rest up to the road (clipless pedals and shoes were not a good choice for these conditions). There were truck tire tracks on the road, so no problem climbing to 7th. First tracks down 7th, then down EXpresso as well, most of the woodwork was rideable, but that was probably because I was laying down fresh tracks, rock was grippy underneath the snow, again, laying down fresh tracks, so that will change as it gets packed in.

Very little snow on the trails below Baden.

So what is the trail work at the bottom of Crinkum? Ride around the ramps?

Yep, I talked to Peter the other day. He's working on an intermediate ride around.

Rode Crinkum kirkford boblsed last night - so good in the snow. The climb up was on tire tracks that were icy but easy to climb. Should be even more fun this weekend with more snow. Gate is closed - no parking lot access.

Dec 9 was sweet- easy to pedal up and down in snow and it was fun. I tried today but the fire road was sloppy and hard to pedal up- I bailed and decided to wait until it freezes up.

I pedaled up to the gate. As a guy was coming down i asked if it was worth it, he said, pushing up, pushing down.

Went over to seymour instead… pushed up, pedaled mostly down. Pick a steeper trail.

I hiked in with my dog yesterday. Up high school loop and along bridle. Lots of snow and slush. You would be pushing. Saw 3 guys coming down bridle towards high school.
