anyone been up to 7th secret? wondering what it's like now.
Fromme 2013 Conditions (merged)
snow around Pink Starfish, had to walk to Executioner. The woods were clear, but the hike up sucks. :)

Don't do it! Actually. I probably hiked down 80% which sucked and I walk through the bush for a living.
On another note I've got a beer for anyone who's found my lost sombrio glove between the bottom of Fromme and 7th!
which trails have been cleared of blown down?
I'm ignoring Smedley.

I noticed a blue glove hanging on a branch as I climbed up to Executioner today. It was on the left-hand side, somewhere between the entrances to pipeline and lower oilcan. Can't remember if it was sombrio or not.
cbennett, thanks for the report. when did you ride it?

Tree down on the creek entrance to Grannies/Crippler.
Crippler has a bunch of trees down, plus lots of new branches, cleaned up a few spots but more love is needed. The trees across the trail are mainly in the top half, some are small enough for a hand saw, but there are chainsaw girth ones too. Moved what I could.

Sweet thanks, that is most likely it! Hopefully it stays there for a little while! Rode that lap Sunday evening.
If any builders/chainsawers want a hand clearing Crippler, PM me. I walked it at the end of last year and its definitely a trail I want to ride this year.

"rode" 7th secret yesterday. lots of snow after 6th switchback. the first half of the trail was pretty much unrideable due to snow.
yup, 7th will be a while still.
You don't need a permit to clear deadfall so feel free to head up with a proper saw to get the bigger stuff.

I might of been following your tracks yerterday, which I needed to find the trail, so thanks? Same conditions for me, first half was lots of sledding
Pipeline was great though, which is to be expected
I'm happy to get outside and enjoy nature while I can, but I fear for the future of humanity
You not only need a permit, you officially require safety training.
If you need stuff cut out, contact the NSMBA or the DNV.
sorry I forgot. You definitely need a permit to cut deadfall even with a handsaw, its impossible otherwise ;)
Anyone know where the snowline is at with the nice days we had recently?
Want to take a trip up today / tomorrow and want to see what's ride-able! Crinkum? 7th secret?
We were up there Tuesday night. Snow free up the the 6th. We rode Executioner/ DW and they were in good shape, just a bit wet/muddy.
A couple other guys headed up to 7th, but it didn't look very promising. I would bet that 7th isn't quite worth the effort yet.
