Bridge to Espresso Smooth is done (see pic) its had 3 or 4 fairly decent sized trees come down on it. I cleared some smaller trees today lower down with my handsaw, but chainsaws gonna be handy and it looked like there might be more big trees down higher up the trail.

New year, new thread.

20" of snow at the 5th
Trees down across the road midway between 2nd and 3rd, and 3rd and 4th
All lower trails good to go, there was a tree across Floppy but was cleared yesterday, thanks to who was clearing it.
First corner on Floppy is a bit slick.

That is all.

Countless trees down on the road and on the trails. Approx. 2' of snow at the entrance to Ladies and Pipeline. Lower trails are in good shape.

Managed to ride up the trough just past the 4th switchback the other day. Then walked most of the way down expresso. Quite deep and lots of deadfall up top.

Was looking for similar info. Was going to start over on McNair climb on the lower trails to the first switchback, then ride across to the second switchback and try to get onto the lower part of Ladies onto BP, then an out and back across the BP.

Been riding the lower Seymour trails as they are clear right up to Severed. Would like to switch it up and get to Fromme. How far up is clear of snow?

thx
Jeff

3 was no problem. And you could probably duck into Ladies at 4 without much snow.

Rode bobsled and pipeline today. Bobsled was hero dirt. Had to push from the 4th switchback due to so much snow. Pipeline was unreadable with all the snow, ice and deadfall… Hiked down to just below the three rock roller coaster, and it got better after that. Baden was great, no deadfall at all.

Ride, don't slide.

Rode to 3rd switchback and joined Ladies. All OK to the 3rd. Onwards looked like it could be a slog.

Ladies from that point was very icy to start and there was a big tree down in the steep chute section. So was a bit of a hack until the big rocky face before the herons ponds.

Big stupid was mint and so was BP.

Blobsled, Floppy Bunny, Natural high and Immonator were all in great shape.

Lower Fromme was mint to day. Perfectly dry on the lower trails…even the woodwork is dry. Like my friend said it's like summer conditions…minus the dust and flies. Get out there!!

By 3rd, he means 4th…. Did pretty much the same ride today. Personally wouldn't want to go any higher than 4th right now, can't really see anything rewarding coming from it at this point…. Big stupid was pretty damn good though

Can't believe how few people are out riding. The colder weather definitely lends to better trail conditions as they're dryer, faster and I didn't even have to clean my bike at the end of the ride. Plus it adds challenge to old trails.

Cbennett; Would like to know if you were riding on top of crust (expecting to break thru at any time) or sinking down into the snow? I think people are either skiing or boarding or not going out because only lower trails are rideable. Weather network says it's gonna warm up, so should all be slush shortly.
