snow quite rideable to 4 1/2 switchbacks, then kinda deep (10cm+), but got first tracks on Crinkum!
Super fun.
Fromme 2012 Conditions
Anyone ride Ladies or Pipeline today? Trying to plan tomorrow's ride and deciding between Fromme or Seymour (would ride BP - level stuff like Pangor and Severed).
I'm afraid to ask what conditions are like… anything rideable past the second switchback or is it too much snow?
Walked up Ladies today, looked mostly rideable, in as much as the snow wasn't too deep and seemed nice and crisp.
Somebody looked to have made a pretty good job of riding Expresso all the way down, bypassing any of the woodwork and Expresso smooth though.
Seventh was deep powder and I was up to my knees in places, also lost the line and ended up clambering out onto Mountain Highway somewhere further down. Mountain highway looked just about rideable up to Expresso but would be hard work.
:scotland:
This is how I imagine riding on Fromme would be like this weekend…
5th switchback stuff was barely rideable on the weekend. Add another 10cms from last night.
ski season.
ski season.
take care of toddler season…..its about 60 months long
I'm ignoring Smedley.
If I head up to Bobsled tonight- am I pushing or pedaling? I doubt much above that is worth the push
guarantee you are pushing…. went last night before the snow and there was close to 10cm at the second gate and i was not motivated enough to keep pedalling.
Went up today, didn't go past Bobsled.
Bobsled was super fun but it's pushing the whole way up Mtn Hwy.
Snow was knee deep at the first switchback.
Hiked up Dempsey to BP and across to just passed Boundary then back and down Skid Road, St Mary's down Dempsey. Cleared several downed trees on BP and the other trails as well as a ton of blow down. There's snow patches on BP but it looked rideable. Saw one guy out on his bike. The bottom of Expresso still had a bunch of snow on the trail. I would suspect anything above the third is out of the question.
Happy Holidays NSMB! I'm off to rip Cypress Pow.

I'll find out on Thursday, I plan on riding all day. Hoping to try to go higher but not holding my breath
