Fromme 2012 Conditions

I will take care of that tomorrow.

There's a small tree down across the exit from Mountainview Park onto McNair.

Fun riding in the rain today! Anything with gold is riding sooo much faster than it has for the past couple months. The water has packed out the dirt nicely.

7th was pretty wet this morning. The last section was impassable because one of the rivers was running so high over the bridge that it was hard to tell where the bridge was. I think the bridge is still intact but didn't want to find out how secure it was. I wnt back to the long log ride and took that down to the road.
The water sure likes to follow the trail on the upper part of 7th.
Pipeline was good/great for these conditions.

Creeks were busting their banks all over Fromme today. Quite a change from last week!

Went for a hike up to the 5th via Mountain View, Imonator, Lower Griffen, Upper Griffen, Kirkford/Crinkum, cleaning out drains where possible. But there is so much water on the mountain that there are lots of places nothing can be done.

If you can kick out a drain or two on your ride, the trails will be happier for it!

I was there on Sunday morning as well…the bridge was there, somewhere under that flowing river! I walked across it just to be sure, [HTML_REMOVED] we carried on down Crinkum, Kirkford, Griffen, [HTML_REMOVED] Switchbacks….got a couple of face shots from the (lower) wet branches on Griffen Switchbacks…almost needed a snorkel!

Log down near the top of Dempsey trail, it's overhanging so watch your heads everyone!

It's been there for a couple weeks now… doesn't really interfere that much, but could be removed without the use of a chainsaw. It's also a cedar if anyone's interested.

Awesome night ride last night. 7th was in great shape as well as all the new work on Expresso. Thanks TAP! There is a tree down on Expresso just after the first bridge but I didn't have a saw to clear it.

Snow starting at 3rd switchback. Ridable up to Seventh thanks to tire tracks from trucks, otherwise it would have been a long push.

Lots of snow at the entrance to Seventh and on the trail itself.

Welcome to winter!

I think Grouse is in a mad rush to get fuel into the tanks up there. Lots of trucks doing laps today.

After an epic night ride on Fromme Oct 25th we have concluded that the snow line is at the 6th switchback right now.

Anything past and you are in snow :)

Have fun everyone!!
