The last part of the road to Pipeline was more of a push than a pedal. There were no tire tracks to follow. The snow/ice didn't feel like it was in a hurry to melt away.
Once in to Pipeline, it was worth it. Digger's work on Lower Ladies looks bigger in real life. Photo's don't do it justice.
I wimped out in a number of areas on Lower Ladies but once running season ends I'll be anxious to see how much I can do.
Fromme 2012 Conditions
Ladies is snow free after Bart's Bridge.
There is a tree down on bobsled roughly a foot in diameter, right after the wooden bridge with a jump off the end of it.
mmkay?

Also trees down at the bottom of Griffin switchbacks.
No, I guess it really isn't right after, but its less than 100 feet from it.
mmkay?
Tree on Bobsled is now gone. Lots of downed branches all over the trails though, so keep an eye out.
Huge tree down and all over the trail at the bottom of Griffen Switchbacks, just before it turns to gravel in Mountain View Park.
The road was mostly rideable to Ladies/Pipeline today, I only walked in the switchbacks. Every single structure was covered in snow/ice all the way down Pipeline made for a fun lap. Fresh tracks on the hamster cage.
Clear to 4th, then snow and ice. Roots are super slick, lots of water everywhere. I'd say "advanced" conditions. Rode diggers new stuff on lower ladies, it's super buff gold and cedar. However the first part of lower ladies will still kick your ass/require hiking/require skill and balance. Nice work digger, we all appreciate your efforts.
Two big trees down on baden Powell Just east of mountain highway.
Any news on trail conditions for Fromme today?
Pretty deep snow from 3rd switchback up to Ladies. Top half of Ladies pretty hard going with Ice covering most of the trail features. Clear from Barts bridge. Tree gone from bobsled.
Any news on trail conditions for Fromme today?
Yesterday afternoon: Road clear til 3rd switchback then intermittent snow up to 4th and solid snow above.
I rode Pipeline:well, I actually pushed the flat first couple of hundred metres but once the trial started pointing DH, everything was clear

still accurate today. lots of snow falling out the trees though. It's pretty beautiful in there right now.
Hey any new news about Fromme conditions this past day since it snowed a lot on SFU it must have touched Fromme too?
I'm thinking of going up tomorrow mid morn to early afternoon if it's not to bad up there.
Cheers

i've tried sticking it in her butt and peeing, she feels that is more a gift for me than her.
I rode up on Sunday afternoon. Heavy snow on the road around 3-4 switchback…mostly still ridable. Dropped in Pipeline…was 3-4 inches of snow but its all good - well defined tracks to follow and the snow was tacky. Snow is gone after the first quarter of trail. The rest is riding like normal wet Fromme. Not sure if it has snowed more today though ;)
