Haha, we were wondering about the "Shed Bike Club" comment. I thought it would be a board member. Usually my bike is the dead giveaway.
That is too funny. :)

Touch of snow at the 5th switchback today. Then disappeared until the entrance to Ladies and Pipeline.
Rode Ladies to Lower Ladies to the Crater. All trails clear and wet.
Great ride that started with sun, then rain, followed by hail, then rain and finally some more sun when I got back to Coleman.
Where's the snowline today? Anybody know?
the snow starts on the road well before the first switchback. mostly wet snow, but an inch or two deep by the time you get to the first. I stayed low, this morning, opting to just hit Griffen. There was snow on the trail for maybe the first third and then it was just wet.

I didn't want the truth, I'm not ready for the truth.
No one had gone past the 4th switchback at 1pm today.
Hmm. I wanted to go ride Pipeline or Ladies today but it sounds like it might just be a Bobsled/Griffen kind of day.
the snow is still below the first switchback. bobsled had snow and ice for the first quarter or third, but it's crystalized, so it's pretty grippy. you could probably do alright going further up.

There's snow on Roadside.
Gratuitous puppy on roadside shot.
Here's what the road looked like on Sunday - up to Seven and beyond!
Nice pics - how long did it take you to walk to the lifts from when you put your skis on?
I figure it was a 30 min hike from the gate to the top of the 2nd SB, and a 2 hr skin up to the lifts from there, give or take. I'd never done it before, so had no idea what to expect. Kind of eery hearing music from the park at Grouse while wrapping around the "8th" SB on Fromme. Want to do it again, but with more water on my back next time.
Good afternoon skiers and riders. This is your 4:00 Fromme snow report on Thursday, March 1st.
Confident enough to venture up to the 6th switchback?
The snowpack on the road is deep and barely walkable. Grannies rode awesome and involved substantial sliding goodness and face shots. I recommend any trail without much woodwork on the 6th.
For the less adventuresome, I recommend Bobsled. The trail is covered in about 2 inches of snow making the trail quite interesting and enjoyable. But remember:
(much sliding was involved and it was great)
That is all.
Impressed by your dedication! That looked like a lot of snow slogging. I may tackle a snow ride tomorrow before it turns to mush!
whats the situation looking like today
, however, notice the black guys pants don't leave much to the imajination.
I note with optimism that it's plus 1 at the top of Grouse, but curious as well…..
