Fraser Valley South side 2015 ( Sumas , Ledgeview , Vedder )

Was up on sumas today for the first time rode time killer and no time out. A bit more uphill than I'd expected on the trails but overall time killer was a good ride. Top section was clear, there were several fallen trees on the middle in the clearing and the trail was slightly grown over in some areas. No time out was to much uphill for me but it was in decent shape quite muddy, walked most of it on the downhill bike.

Time killer is one of the oldest trails up there. It's original exit was taken out by development, and Time out was built. It too was eventually taken out by development. No timeout was then built and was really the only option.

Sumas has been a little bike mountain for years. Leave the sleds at home or shuttle Vedder.

Sumas = Little bikes for the win, and for reference, I have no shame in doing big shuttle days on DH bikes.

honestly that could be said for just about every mountain , with the quality 150/160mm travel bikes that climb very well and descend very well and weigh around 30/32lbs on average . big bikes are needed less and less , i have only ridden my Entourage 3 times in the last year , i enjoy the trail bike way more .

Try out salty nozzle if you're more of an advanced rider and you also wanna try out squidline (it dumps you out onto squidline). The road up to it is pretty soggy right now though.

Knob Gobbler is above Squidline and is one of the original trails. Its a personal fav and a bit more technical. Similar difficulty level to Noah Fear. It is an easy black. Noah Fear starts near Squidline but on the opposite side of the main road. It is great paired with World Cup and then No Time Out. The Sauces and Peels start just below Squid line and are mor e rolling XC. Very fun, especially the top sections.

rode Salty a few weeks back the ground was pure crap no braking or steering in the steeper stuff , but i bet with the frost now it will be prime to bad i,m on my ass sick

Squid is running good in most places but there's a couple of mud-pits that will eat you alive, so be careful.

Lower Knob is in great shape, except maybe the last hairpin corner near the bottom - it's wearing bad. The Big bridge has a great new lead-up.

Holiday Sauce etc suck - ride elsewhere.
