Driving by on Saturday the snow line was still pretty low with a few inches at the lookout and decent coverage on the third switchback, though it's been warm and raining since then.

DId Shore play in 10 inches of snow "The scariest Descent i ever did on that trail" When we Dropped in We Had our Selfs Asking if this was a Retarded Decision, Some of the Steep Rockfaces had to be Aborted. Then headed up to Mystery hard to drive up,so you got to park at road. Top of Mystery On Friday had about 20 inches of Fresh Powder, best Snow ride in 2 years. Quagmar skinny was not ridable.
Yes we did get it on Go pro will make some good fotage to say the least.

Did Mystery last Sunday was more Deep Powder that was fluffy and Tough going first 1000 ft. Rode it again Today and It was a waste of time Snow was like wet Concrete, lots of Traverse Hiking. It got better at lookout ,but was real slick. Bottom section on road crossings were great but not worth the effort or Fuel, unless you just want a workout.

Shore play is all clear and real mint except the construction sign on the Rockface that has the side line closed for 7 months. I guess i will have to fix that , and open it myself. How long does it take to fill, drain, and structure a huge rut.

Ok puntor pass and i moved a huge tree that was blocking the trail all winter it is on the chunder line on stupid grouse (the one that runs East of the veiw point drop in)
Never thought 2 guys could move this without a saw .So when you are running Mystery it will no longer kill your flow.
Did 5 laps Today everything but the 5th and W\C The trails are in great shape lots of water in some places but skiing is over grab your bike.

Fifth was in great shape on Saturday though the first 100m or so are pretty brutal with all of the overgrown brush. On another note there was a fairly large sized tree down on lower sexboy at the bottom of a steep section (up a bit from the last ladder section) and theres a pretty good braid establishing around it. Still lots of snow on the road into Mystery though after 100m or so down the trail is clear.

Snow for the first long straight section of Mystery DH but around the drops it clears and the trail was nice and dry!

Cypress is wetttttt and sloppy, but still rode pretty well today! Tons of water running down Firehose and parts of Mystery.
No snow at all on Mystery trail, just on the road leading to it.

Thanks, too bad but not surprising.
A tangential thought: Xerox PARC developed the 1st practical mouse (costing several thousand dollars a copy). However, they saw no possible application outside of their own labs. Steve Jobs took the idea over with Xerox PARC's blessing. They thought Jobs had nowhere to go with it so it was not a threat to them. Apple would just waste money on it until they smartened up. Well we know what happened: Jobs made it simpler, more sophisticated and available for $100.00 a copy (now 20.00). Apple conquered the world and Xerox was nothing but baffled.
OK . . . Cypress. Boyne Resorts is Xerox PARC. Apple/Jobs is anyone who could take Cypress and make it into an amazing, wide reaching, intense bike fun park. Who would have thought WBP would develop into what it is today, with riders from the whole globe converging on it. The skill of Steve Jobs was to see the way to get it done.
nough.
