Why do you have to wait for the builders to clear the trail?
How about taking some of the smaller stuff out, so all the builders have to do is come down with a chainsaw, and take out the big stuff.
You were already there…….and you werent busy riding.
Just a thought

hahahaha. you lazy… oh wait…

Everyone is encouraged to clear off blowdown from any trail. Get one of these for $30 at MEC and anyone can take out the medium ones too!
clearing a trail with a bike in 3 ft of snow with no tools ? would've done the same thing.
Best to clear trails when they're snow free so its done only once in my opinion. Clearing branches that are half covered in heavy snow is waste of time and energy.

i agree, but think that knight-rider took issue with jzogaris saying let the builders deal with it, as opposed to if he'd simply said it would be best to deal with it after the snow was gone.
We don't know what our limits are, so to start something with the idea of being limited actually ends up limiting us.

ok, that's nothing new.

somebody should fix those mud puddles too after they clear the trees…and they should also go fight to keep the trails open. screw it, they should cook me dinner too
sorry for putting like its on the builders, i did clear liftable branches throughout the trail but there are so many large trees i couldnt lift by myself, as well the bridge halfway down the trail has collapsed

the first or second one? The second one was way overdue for a rebuild.
first bridge about 100 feet after you get off the baden powell
Hiked up 5th today. Moved some branches on my way up but the trail was pretty much clear. There are 2 small trees down across the trail right after the step-up but that's about it. The top 1/3 is snowy and the rest is wet and soggy. It was snowing pretty good at 3 this afternoon. Winter isn't done yet…
