10 guys can get a lot of work done on a trail. Or start up a GoFundMe campaign to rent a crane truck to fix the bridge?

I'm considering trying to organize a build crew of ~10 guys and a winch or 3 to jimmy the bridge back into place. I think it's doable. West Van is in no hurry to get the work done, the bridge has been out for almost a year I think.

FYI - That bridge is on DWV's to-do list. They'd prefer to look after it themselves, but no eta has been announced.

DWV is developing a Trails Plan. This is the type of thing that needs to be included, a management plan to work with volunteers.

Anyone know where the snow line is on Cypress right now?

Wondering if 5th or S_r are ridable options yet or if I will have to backtrack down BLT to slippery canoe and below?

Aside, what's the trail on the eastern side of BLT that starts near the 3rd switchback just above the gate called? It crosses Dirty Harry and ends near the bottom of upper Sex Girl.

I ended up climbing BLT to 5th today. No snow - all good. There are a couple trees down on 5th and its loose in a number of sketchy places, but 5th is in good shape.

The maintenance on BLT has made it really soft and muddy in sections. It an energy drainer! The heavy machinery that were as high as the gate near the 3rd switchback are now gone.

BLT is a soggy uphill slog that drains all will to live right now.

The maintenance has made it really soft when wet. It was fine in the dry the other day.

The general idea is not to bring attention to ANY trail that is not on a map, forum guidelines say no directions but why draw attention to it at all?? use trailforks as a guide, you may know about it but there are probably many others that dont and whom are now curious and with a little digging could figure things out.

because, somethings you can just not mention online, and beside, that's not even the name of the trail.

Just got back from a ride of Jersey Shore and Lower Sex Girl, which currently have too many trees down wrecking all flow. The top part of Jersey Shore was pretty rutted out with a few trees down, but the bottom was a mess with trees down everywhere. Definitely needs a chainsaw to clean up. And Lower Sex Girl also had a number of big trees down on the trail. And the skinny bridge in the middle has a big tree down on the entrance, making it unrideable.

Never ridden Cypress before and we are thinking of checking it out Sunday for a change of pace. What are some good link-ups to try? Skill level is black diamond, enjoy tech rock/roots as well as flow, although we don't do any big jumps/drops outside the bike park). We will likely shuttle. I have a DH bike but will probably ride my 160mm as my friend will be on his Chromag (his only bike, but he's a much better rider than me).

Trailforks makes it look like a good idea would be to hit Blind Skier/SGS/Roach Clip/Hit or Tall Cans/Wutang and then try Reaper, Coiler or Mystery DH on the other side?

cheers
