Does anyone know where the snowline is?

Apparently I do. The BLT is clear for sure to the entrance of 5th Horseman. The final push to the upper works yard has snow.
The road to Mystery DH/Meat Sweats is clear. Meat Sweats was good. Slippery Canoe and Tall Cans were awesome.
I closed off a couple of really unsightly braids on Tall Cans. This trail's grade reversals are elegant and still technical and fun to ride at speed - I don't understand why anyone would cut across them. I get that it's Cypress and all but if you want to drag down the fall line why not ride one of the other trails?

Quoted for f[HTML_REMOVED]^[HTML_REMOVED]g truth!
Who stewards Tall Cans? I'd be curious to hear their thoughts on this.

Sweats was good.
After last night's rain, I find this highly unlikely. Lower MS probably ok, but upper would be a deep muddy holey mess.
The guys that built Upper and Lower Tallcans have moved on to other things.
It is a shame that people would cut corners on that trail, but not a surprise considering the level of stupidity out there. We would obviously prefer to see the line kept as. But, after 5 or more years of not working on it, if any people step up to maintain it they can really do whatever they want.

Yeah good point, loam trails should be rested for the winter. Some people may argue that it'll get eroded down to mineral soil soon but I seriously doubt that, the duff is extremely deep and the roots are big in that zone.
In hindsight you are right. I probably shouldn't have hit that line. It was draining well but it was definitely wet. Is MS even considered a loam trail?

I would consider upper MS a loam line, as you are primarily riding on duff and it rides way better in the dry. I haven't ridden it since the rains started though so I'm not sure how deep the mudholes are or if any sections have reached mineral soil.
Just a heads up. The mystery bridge is still broke.
anyone been down sterling?
Only his wife.
Went up the BLT to Blind Skier [HTML_REMOVED] SGS [HTML_REMOVED] Slippery Canoe [HTML_REMOVED] Tall Cans etc. Perfect. Just wet enough to be tacky. Everything is running as well as it ever has. Thanks to the trail fairies who have been out. Some nice re routes and tweaks.
The blockage I made to a cut on Tall Cans last month is still there so that's good. I blocked off another one that's closer to the end of the trail.
