Cypress 2014 Conditions

One of the good things about the crowd on Thursday night was almost universal push back on development above 1200ft unless in the most exceptional circumstances.

I haven't heard any support for housing development above 1200', but I wonder if there would be support for something recreation/tourism oriented?

There's a fabulous view from the 3rd switchback. Are there any possibilities for an interpretive centre, restaurant or sightseeing operation? :???:

Has anyone ridden any Cypress trails lately? Or is it still absolutely covered in snow?

a reminder for all those who ride cypress that there's an open house tomorrow at West Vancouver Community Center from 4-8:30 with public input sessions at 5 and 7. Show your support and keep Cypress trails awesome. You can't complain if you don't vote!

Good turnout by the two-wheel crowd tonight. Many thanks.

It was heartening to hear that the opinions you voiced align perfectly with the conservationists. Keep the mountainside green!

any updates on mystery/jersey?

Did Mystery on Saturday, snow from the entrance, past the A-frame, then after the small clearing there was no snow. There was a tree that was cracking and swaying in the section after the 3 jumps, where the turns are after the other small clearing. Didn't stick around long enough to see if it did fall or not

Mystery is good to go other than bit of snow in the beginning.
Jersey shore isn't in such a great shape though

More snow on Cypress but Mystery is pretty good after the 4 drops. Big tree down on Stupid Grouse. Just before you hit the first road. Head height so watch yourself.

3 trees down on lower sex girl, one is big the other two are handsaw size.

Also Cypress is running awesome right now. Cleaned a few techy moves I haven't done in years.

Rode SGS to Slippery Canoe to Pull Tab to Upper Tall Cans yesterday. Trails were a bit wet but still in great shape. Got lucky to hit everything just before it started pouring. Got to the top of Upper Tall Cans when I realized the zipper on my waist strap was open and my mini tool was gone. If anyone sees a yellow Topeak folding tool on the trail I'd be much obliged if someone picked it up. Cheers.
