Anybody know if Burnaby Mountain is rideable yet?
Burnaby Mountain?
still lots of snow but because of all the pedestrians tracks it's lots of fun.as long as you stay on trails, you'll sink to your hubs if you go hors piste.
Went yesterday and there was only a short stretch of Nicole's that was rideable. The rest was pretty snowy and too deep and soft to stay on top of.

The 200 or so meters above the log ride are clear, as well as the rest of the trail. If this does it for you, go for it. The bit before the power line (fire road?) is still almost completely snowed-in.
Rode Nicoles on Tuesday night - clear all the way. The Poplar trail is still snowy but fairly rideable. Its short anyway
Rode Nicole's today. Completely clear and very dry. The flatter sections along Mel's were a bit snowed over still, although mostly rideable since it was quite firm.
good to know, maybe i'll head out for a night ride next week. been too long since i've been on the bike.

seconded for truth…:fro:
Rode gear jammer today, Once you cross the power lines and you get in the trees its great but there is some washout.
:google: live by it
Rode Nicole's, Gear Jammer and others yesterday (Sunday Jan 25) and it was all good! Snow coverage up top but easily rideable. A little more slippery toward the bottom but overall, really good.
How are the lower trails and the climb up Joes?
Climbing Joe's was terrible (saturday).
Covered in ice / hard pack snow.
I had to push the bike all the way up. It is better to ride up Gaglardi for now.
I was there 2 weeks ago and tried to climb North Rd trail [HTML_REMOVED] Dead Moped - it was hardpack snow and okay as long as you didn't veer to hard left or right…
We only got to the interesction where the Trans Canada Trail heads up the back and it was so snowy we just turned around and went back down…
I'll have to head over to the other side and check out Nicoles and Gear Jammer…
I was up there on Saturday. Upper trails were still snowed in. Mel's had a few inches; slippery, but rideable in most places. Nicole's was all good.
