summer is over, if you didnt get out in the last 2 weeks you missed it..
better luk next year..
GRRR !!!!
So for those that say "don't ride when the trails are wet" you can pack your bike away for the season.
Of course I've never understood how people can talk about a riding "season".
Well for one riding in the wet savages the soft/muddy trails…
2010 Transition TR450 - 34.56lbs - the lightest TR450 ever?
A custom build from the good guys @ North Shore Bike Shop
Rode lower Snake with my 11 year old daughter this week. I haven't been down it in a couple of month. Not sure if it was the lower speed than I usually ride it, but holly crap has it ever gotten pounded. The trail really needs a trail day.

all the trails are getting really beat. the braids on uppercut (and lower snake) are getting stupid. i really wish they'd finish the new trail so there'd be another option for the pajama boys.

I had to laugh at the guy in the North Road parking lot on a DH bike in matching gear, helmet [HTML_REMOVED] goggles.
He looked more than a little out of place compared to everyone else on their XC [HTML_REMOVED] trail bikes.
There sure seems to be a lot of board walk going in on the North Road trails. Perhaps I should consider ditching my XC bike and go to a proper downhill rig too!

Though much of the rock-work is standing proud, I avoid the troughs on either side and ride like rock the good citizen I am. :D
And though slower (for me, anyways), I find those two more challenging the way they are.
Freedom of contract. We sell them guns that kill them; they sell us drugs that kill us.

I thought the new trail was a climbing trail only?
To me, it's really odd that the pajama boys use SFU for race prep runs. I know it's easy to do quick shuttle laps, but it is a beginner/Intermediate trail system. You would think that all the slower moving pylons would be annoying for them. Worse part for me is, I know a bunch of these ass hats and call them friends. One day when one them runs me down or one of my kids, I will know who is going to get a world of hurt. If you see my fat ass coming at you yelling " I'm here to chew bubble gum and kick ass and Im all out of bubble gum" I suggest you start pedaling away quickly! Nothing but love here! : ) Don't worry it's not a threat, just having some fun…………………..or am I?

not as far as i am aware, that would be super hard to enforce. all the existing trails are multi-use and two way (bi-directional?). there is one trail that's hiking only, but it's on the west side and i can't recall the name at the moment.

I cant remember where I heard this from but my understanding, is there will be speed check gates on it, much like what's on the bottom of Seymour.

From the City of Burnaby…
"The first phase of new trail construction will tie in the upper section of the Watermain Trail at Mel
For some reason I can't see the full text. Oh well… it's under construction. First phase done end of Septemberish. Dual direction, but designed to climb. Lots of grade reversals and tighter turns to slow folks down… in theory.
Came through Naheeno today (Sept. 25), and there was yellow tape and a lot road building (?) equipment across the trail between the upper and lower sections (where you turn up the dirt road, and then get back on to the trail proper).
Looks like a new road maybe?
