was up yesterday doing some work in the afternoon, thought I could hear a yarder honking constantly up the hill, so the trees should be gone soon. But I would think they couldnt use a yarder next to the high voltage lines?

As for the "closures", it seems to be only a weekday thing. My buddy and I have been up twice a week for the last 2 months of the hydro lines work, and have negotiated our way past them during the week, and then on weekends, they are never there…
On Saturday, road the old school big bikes, (A-line and Atomik), on Dawg to Hustler, then Braap, to ?? trail that joins up with lower hustler. Dawg and Huslter are in great shape for the amount of rain we've had, we were both so impressed. Braap and the other trail were noticeably wetter…

dawg and hustler are in great shape because they get a lot of maintenance. they sure weren't when they were first built, they were a mess when it rained.

Dawg and Hustler have many grade reversals and a lot of gold which drains the water nicely. Black organic plus wet plus a low incline trail makes for a mess.

yeah the first couple of years Dawg and Hustler were basically unrideable during the wet season. You can thank Vic, Bryan and Karaleen for making those trails dry when it's wet.

Dawg to Hustler are becoming favourites for the kids. Trails that 7 and 9 year olds can just flow and learn to pump the bike and understand rolling speed and momentum. And it's an easy climb for an extra lap.

The favourite route for them is park at the main lot, climb to Last Run, then back up to Dawg and Hustler, then back to the car. Sometimes hit a second lap on Hustler, given that the climb is so short for all that goodness. Great spinning for them with 11-28 rear clusters and 30t single up front.

What blows our mind is that people are shuttling these lower trails.

Mind blown…that's so very sad…I'm on a 53lb beast, and I wouldn't shuttle EVER! Half the fun is the exercise… ah well, to each their own…

See you out there this weekend!

I actually think we're on the same page here! We might hit it up Saturday before the boys soccer game.

a few new hits along goc's second half jumpline over the past few weeks…i call them poppers……nothing crazy big and easily hit at medium speed.faster gives you more float time though…enjoy! Watch the crotch drop in the slippery snow……its a superman maker.

Disappointing to see quad tracks on Braap today after all the work that has gone into the trail.
The new bridge near the top withstood, undamaged. Only walked down a little ways and the tracks keep going. Hopefully everything below is OK.

We are meeting at the gun club at 9 tomorrow (Sunday)morning to work on the trail. It would be great if anyone could help out. I'll bring extra shovels and buckets.

Quad went down dawg too. Made a mess and broke a rung on a bridge. Not cool.
