I wish I did. I just got the kahunas to ride the Flinstones A-frame this spring and now it's gone.:crybaby:
I use 2x9 or 1x9 to get up the road. No problems here.
+1, I dont understand shuttling :hurt:
Where does the exercise part of mtb fit in when you do that?

By cranking out multiple hot fast laps of the downhill. Two totally different disciplines of this spectacular sport. :)
hol-ee shit but that's a big hole
Some guy did a study as part of his thesis on Fromme a few years back. Montiored heart rate, blood oxygen content and the like. We all rode up the road and then back down the trails. "Ride as normal" was the instruction.
Turned out more energy was expended on the way down. go figure.

What about the guys who do one shuttle lap of the xc trails?

Guess I am old school, bike go up, bike go down.
How'd that go?
Apparently well, he lived to post about it…or maybe lived LONG enough to post about it.

Upper body workout, when you lift the bikes in and out of the truck….:

Update for Flintsones/Autobahn. Rode there today. Two sets of tire tracks. First was an XC retard running slick centered tires with knobbies on the out side, skid central. Second was a little more interesting and it sheds some light on who's been doing the trail modification…..a Cyclocross bike. Keep your eyes open for him and shoe him in the nuts.
Took some time to ride instead of digging this weeked. All I have to say is, if you didn't build it - don't modify. Im a little erked about my bridge on Flintstones. That bridges main purpose was to keep the cows from falling down the bank again.
As as far as the rest of Ledgeview, I can't really trust any of the usual hits cause of the sticks and mud kicker lips that have popped up. If you want to build something, build your own line the way you want it. Not mess with something that everyone knows and can trust.
I think whoever is doing the mods does not frequent the boards here. I wonder if a bike shop canvas type inquiry would help?
